PYC Arts & Technology High School is a contract alternative school that serves Minneapolis Public schools. As such we are required to meet all testing requirements of both the Minnesota Department of Education and of Minneapolis Public Schools.
These tests include:
ACCESS for students in grades 9 -12. This is a test for English Language Learners.
ACCUPLACER for students in grades 11 and 12. This is a test used by the public community colleges to determine course placement.
ACT for students in grade 11.
MCA and MTAS grades 9 – 11. These tests are required by the state of Minnesota and include Life Science, Mathematics, and Reading.
NWEA Measures of Academic Progress are expected of all 9th & 10th grade students.
