PCYC’s Bright Futures (BF) program offers free after school and summer programing to youth in kindergarten through 5th grade who live or attend school in North Minneapolis.
School Year Program
Bright Futures school year program offers youth a unique learning environment, different than most after school programs.
Youth are bussed to PCYC from their home school. Our daily schedule is focused around academic enrichment, led by our experienced youth workers and using a variety of group work methods ranging from youth worker-created lessons, to electronic learning through iPads, computers, and SMARTboards. Upon arrival, all scholars receive an MPS sponsored Super Snack meal.
Here’s an example of our BF daily schedule:

Bright Futures summer program offers youth a fast-paced, full day learning environment mixed with academic and enrichment activities.
Youth are bussed to PCYC from their personalized summer bus stop. Our daily schedule is focused on preventing summer slide and participating in new experiences, led by our experienced youth workers, community partners, and local artists. Youth participate in a variety of active hands-on activities like dance, yoga, art, and tennis, and end each week with a field trip. Youth are also provided with breakfast and lunch each day.
