About

PCYC’s Bright Futures (BF) program offers free after-school and summer programing to youth in kindergarten through 5th grade who live or attend school in North Minneapolis.

We believe it’s important to offer year-round, community-based programs that support youth academic development as well as physical and emotional growth through arts-based enrichment activities and recreational activities like basketball, soccer, dance, yoga and more.

BF programs are led by teams of classroom educators, scholar support workers, youth workers and licensed teachers who are supported by reading tutors, Step-Up interns, PYC Arts and Technology High School students, and a variety of other professionals and partners who are absolutely committed to the long-term success of youth who live in North Minneapolis.

Our Bright Futures programs have served Northside youth and families for nearly 40 years.

Bright Futures is a model program in the community, committed to closing the achievement gap and providing safe and enriching opportunities for kids of all ages.

We pride ourselves on developing quality programming, employing quality staff, and creating a culture of achievement for youth!
