We are currently hiring for three positions.

1. Executive Assistant (full-time), PCYC

Position Summary

This is a split position that supports PCYC’s development functions and provides general administrative support.

Development Support: 50%

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the organization’s development efforts, working closely with the Executive Director, the Development Director, and the Director of Administration to process earned and contributed resources, including in-kind donations and volunteers. Additionally, there are opportunities for substantive responsibilities in areas of individual giving, planned giving, request writing, and fund development strategic planning.

General Administrative Support: 50%

The Executive Assistant will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties that support the leadership and governance structure of the organization, spanning a wide variety of organizational functions.

2. Teacher – Intermediate Algebra/Math Recovery (full-time), PYC Arts & Technology High School

Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide expertise to help students make progress against the achievement gap. PYC teachers must have a thorough understanding of how best practices in assessment, student engagement, and cultural relevancy can be leveraged to maximize student achievement. This educator will work in conjunction with his/her team to develop rigorous, standards-based courses that are differentiated to meet the needs of all PYC scholars.

PYC teachers are dedicated to creating a positive learning environment that facilitates the personal, social, and intellectual development of all students. Teachers work closely with parents, the administration, other staff, other PCYC programs and the Minneapolis Public Schools, under moderate supervision.

3. Youth Worker (part-time), Out-of-School-Time (OST) Program

Position Summary

PCYC’s Out-of-School-Time Youth Worker provides socially and academically enriching year-round opportunities for North Minneapolis children and youth.

The purpose of this position is to achieve the academic and social/emotional outcomes of PCYC’s highly effective OST programs. To perform this job successfully, you must be able to carry out each job function satisfactorily.
