PCYC ANNUAL CHILDREN’S GIFT SALE 2011
Teach Children the Joy of Giving this Christmas!
Saturday, December 10th from 10 am to 1 pm, at Plymouth Christian Youth Center in North Minneapolis
The Christmas season is fast approaching, and it is time for the Annual Children’s Gift Sale!
Children in North Minneapolis, with no money to buy presents for their family, purchase 5 new gifts for a small donation of $1, learning the joy of giving as they select that special something for mom, dad, grandma, sibling or other loved one. We encourage you to participate in this fun project individually, as a family, church or youth group, book or garden club, or other community group.
We need over 5,000 gifts and over 300 volunteers to transform our facility and help over 1,000 youth shop for their loved ones on the day of the event.
Here are some ways you or your group can get involved:
* Donate Money – Send us a donation to purchase gifts. Please mail donations to the address below. You may also donate through our website at www.pcyc-mpls.org and designate your gift to the Children’s Gift Sale.
* Buy Gifts or Re-gift - We suggest you purchase gifts valued at $5 to $8 each, or re-gift new items from among those gifts you received and never used. CLICK HERE for a list of GIFT IDEAS. Please bring your donations to PCYC Nov. 28-Dec. 6, 8am-5:30pm Mon.-Fri.., or call to set up a weekend drop off .
* Volunteer to Set Up – Help us set up our “store”, sort gifts, make gift packs, and sell tickets to kids for the event during the week of December 5th (Monday through Friday, day and evening shifts available).
* Volunteer on the Day of the Gift Sale – Volunteer to shop with kids on the day of the sale.
